Please read these Membership Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing or accessing the Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership. By purchasing, subscribing to, accessing, downloading, or using the membership and any related materials, you agree to these terms.

These Membership Terms apply specifically to the Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership, including membership resources, curriculum materials, downloads, lessons, templates, bonuses, trainings, certificates, and any related membership content.

1. Company Information

The Smart and Simple Social Studies® All-Access Membership is owned and operated by The Southern Teach LLC, a Texas limited liability company.

Throughout these terms, “Company,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to The Southern Teach LLC. “You” and “your” refer to the purchaser, subscriber, member, or user of the membership.

2. Membership Overview

The Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership is a digital membership that provides access to social studies teaching resources, curriculum materials, templates, trainings, and other digital resources made available inside the membership platform.

Membership content may include, but is not limited to:

  • Guided curriculum units
  • Lesson plans
  • Student pages
  • Teacher materials
  • Slideshows
  • Guided notes
  • Daily passages
  • Task cards
  • Assessments
  • Projects
  • WebQuests
  • Vocabulary resources
  • Planning guides
  • Templates
  • Bonus resources
  • Professional development materials
  • Member-only trainings or tutorials

Membership content may be added, updated, revised, reorganized, replaced, or removed at any time.

3. Membership Pricing and Billing

The price of the membership depends on the plan selected at checkout.

Membership plans may include monthly, quarterly, annual, school-year, or other subscription options as shown on the checkout page.

By purchasing a membership, you authorize The Southern Teach LLC and its third-party payment processor to charge your selected payment method according to the billing plan you selected at checkout.

Your membership will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before your next renewal date.

You are responsible for reviewing the price, billing frequency, renewal terms, and cancellation terms before completing your purchase.

Prices, promotions, coupons, bonuses, and plan options may change at any time. Any price changes will not affect previous charges already processed.

4. Recurring Payments

The Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership is a recurring subscription unless otherwise stated at checkout.

By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel your membership.

Recurring payments may be processed through Kajabi Payments, Stripe, PayPal, or another third-party payment processor.

We do not store full credit card numbers or full payment information. Payment information is handled by secure third-party payment processors.

If your payment method fails, the payment processor or membership platform may automatically attempt to process the payment again. If payment is not successfully completed, your membership access may be paused, restricted, or canceled.

5. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your membership at any time.

Cancellation stops future recurring charges. Cancellation does not automatically refund previous payments.

You may cancel in either of the following ways:

  • Through your account settings inside Kajabi, if the cancellation option is available in your account.
  • By emailing us at [email protected].

To avoid being charged for the next billing period, you must cancel before your next renewal date.

If you cancel after a renewal payment has already processed, your cancellation will apply to the next billing cycle.

After cancellation, your membership access will end at the conclusion of your current paid billing period unless otherwise stated by us in writing.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the membership and the immediate access provided to downloadable resources, membership payments are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or clearly stated in a specific promotion.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Monthly membership payments
  • Quarterly membership payments
  • Annual membership payments
  • School-year membership payments
  • Renewal payments
  • Promotional membership payments
  • Payments made with a coupon or discount

You are responsible for canceling before your next billing date if you do not want your membership to renew.

7. Annual or School-Year Memberships

If you purchase an annual or school-year membership, you receive access for the membership term shown at checkout.

Annual or school-year memberships are non-refundable after purchase unless otherwise required by law or clearly stated in a specific promotion.

If your annual or school-year membership is set to renew automatically, you are responsible for canceling before the renewal date if you do not want to be charged for another term.

8. Access After Cancellation

When you cancel your membership, you will continue to have access through the end of your current paid billing period unless otherwise stated by us in writing.

After your membership ends, you will lose access to the membership platform, member-only resources, downloads, trainings, bonuses, certificates, and any other membership materials.

You may continue to use materials that you downloaded during an active paid membership for your own personal classroom use, as long as your use follows these Terms and does not involve sharing, reselling, posting, uploading, redistributing, or creating competing materials.

9. Bonuses

From time to time, we may offer bonuses with the Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership.

Bonuses may be limited-time offers and may change, expire, or be removed.

Bonuses are only available to active members unless otherwise stated in writing.

If your membership is canceled, refunded, terminated, or expires, you will lose access to any bonuses included with the membership.

Bonuses have no cash value and may not be exchanged, transferred, or refunded separately.

10. Membership Access

Membership access is provided through Kajabi or another online platform used by The Southern Teach LLC.

Membership access is for the individual purchaser only unless you have purchased a separate school, team, or district license.

You may not share your login, password, membership account, downloads, videos, bonuses, certificates, or materials with another person, team, school, district, or organization.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, one membership purchase provides access for one individual user only.

11. Individual License

An individual membership license is for one teacher or user.

You may use the membership materials for your own personal professional development and classroom use.

You may:

  • Download and print resources for your own use.
  • Use membership materials with students you personally teach.
  • Make classroom copies for your own students.
  • Adapt implementation ideas for your own classroom planning and instruction.
  • Use downloaded materials in your own classroom while following these Terms.

You may not:

  • Share your login with anyone else.
  • Share downloaded files with other teachers, teams, schools, districts, or online groups.
  • Upload resources to a shared drive, school-wide platform, district-wide platform, public website, marketplace, or resource-sharing site.
  • Print or copy resources for other teachers’ classrooms.
  • Use one membership account for multiple users.
  • Resell, repackage, redistribute, edit, or claim membership resources as your own.
  • Use membership materials to create a competing curriculum, product, membership, course, workshop, training, or resource.

12. School, Team, and District Licensing

A school, team, district, or organization may not purchase one individual membership and share it among multiple educators.

If multiple educators need access, each educator must have their own individual license unless a separate school, team, or district license has been purchased directly from The Southern Teach LLC.

School, team, and district licenses may have their own separate terms, pricing, renewal dates, access rules, and user limits.

Unauthorized sharing of membership access or materials may result in immediate removal from the membership without a refund.

13. Classroom Use License

Your membership gives you a limited, non-transferable classroom use license.

You may use downloaded membership resources with students you personally teach during your active membership and after cancellation, as long as the resources were downloaded during your active paid membership and are used only for your own classroom.

This license does not allow you to distribute, sell, post, upload, or share membership resources with other adults, teachers, schools, districts, online platforms, or third-party tools.

14. Digital Downloads

Membership materials may include digital downloads.

Digital downloads are provided for your own personal classroom use only.

Downloading a resource does not give you ownership of the resource. The Southern Teach LLC retains all copyright and intellectual property rights.

You may not mass download, scrape, copy, archive, or export the membership library for the purpose of avoiding future membership payments, redistributing materials, creating a competing product, or sharing materials outside your own classroom use.

15. AI and Technology Use Restrictions

You may not upload, submit, copy, or input membership materials into AI tools, chatbots, AI training platforms, AI content generators, or similar technology tools for the purpose of copying, modifying, redistributing, training, generating derivative products, or creating competing materials.

You may not use AI or third-party technology tools to reproduce, summarize, reformat, transform, or generate derivative versions of our membership materials for resale, redistribution, sharing, or publication.

You may not use membership materials in a way that allows artificial intelligence systems, third-party platforms, or unauthorized users to access, store, reproduce, train on, or generate derivative versions of our copyrighted materials.

16. Professional Development Certificates

The Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership may include professional development certificates, workshops, trainings, or documentation of participation.

Certificates are provided as documentation of participation or completion based on the membership content available at the time.

You are responsible for confirming whether any certificate, workshop, or training meets your school, district, state, or professional licensing requirements.

The Southern Teach LLC does not guarantee that any certificate will be accepted by a particular school, district, state agency, licensing board, or employer.

17. Content Updates and Availability

We may add, update, revise, replace, reorganize, or remove membership content at any time.

We make reasonable efforts to keep membership resources accurate, useful, and up to date, but we do not guarantee that all resources will remain available permanently.

Membership resources may change due to curriculum updates, platform changes, standards changes, product improvements, technical needs, or business decisions.

Access to specific resources, bonuses, trainings, or features is not guaranteed forever.

18. Intellectual Property

All membership resources, videos, lessons, downloads, templates, graphics, text, designs, slides, workbooks, worksheets, assessments, projects, certificates, and related materials are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

The Southern Teach LLC retains all rights, title, and interest in the Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership and all related materials.

Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

Unauthorized use, copying, sharing, distribution, resale, reproduction, posting, uploading, or modification of membership materials is strictly prohibited.

19. User Conduct

You agree to use the membership and related materials respectfully and lawfully.

You may not:

  • Share login credentials.
  • Attempt to copy, scrape, reproduce, or distribute membership content in an unauthorized way.
  • Interfere with the membership platform or attempt to bypass access restrictions.
  • Use membership materials for illegal, harmful, misleading, or unethical purposes.
  • Misrepresent membership materials as your own.
  • Share membership materials with people who have not purchased or been licensed to access the membership.

We reserve the right to remove access to the membership if we believe these terms have been violated.

20. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

We will make a reasonable effort to help resolve billing concerns.

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, you may lose access to the membership, bonuses, and related materials while the dispute is being reviewed.

We reserve the right to provide proof of your purchase, account access, download activity, checkout terms, renewal terms, cancellation policy, and these Membership Terms to the payment processor or financial institution reviewing the dispute.

21. Account Security

You are responsible for keeping your login information secure.

If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, please contact us promptly at [email protected].

We are not responsible for unauthorized access caused by your failure to protect your login credentials.

22. Privacy

Your use of our website, checkout pages, membership platform, and related services may involve the collection and processing of personal information.

By purchasing or accessing the Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership, you agree to our Privacy Policy in addition to these Membership Terms.

23. Communications

By purchasing the membership, you agree that we may send you membership-related emails, including login details, access information, billing notices, renewal reminders, cancellation confirmations, resource updates, certificate information, customer support messages, and important notices related to your purchase.

You may also receive marketing emails if you have opted in to receive them. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Transactional and membership-access emails may still be sent when necessary.

24. Third-Party Platforms and Links

The membership may be hosted on or connected to third-party platforms, including Kajabi, payment processors, email providers, video hosting tools, or outside websites.

We are not responsible for the policies, actions, errors, downtime, security, or content of third-party platforms or websites.

If the membership includes links to outside websites, resources, or tools, those links are provided for convenience and informational purposes only.

25. Technology Disclaimer

We make reasonable efforts to provide reliable access to the membership and related materials through Kajabi or another online platform.

However, we cannot guarantee that the membership platform, website, videos, downloads, checkout pages, or third-party tools will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available.

Some technical issues may be caused by third-party platforms, internet providers, browsers, devices, software, or other circumstances outside of our control.

If you experience an access issue, please email us at [email protected] and we will make reasonable efforts to help.

26. Testimonials and Results

Any testimonials, reviews, examples, or success stories shared about the Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership are individual experiences. They are not guarantees that you will experience the same results.

Your results may vary based on your teaching context, schedule, grade level, standards, student needs, implementation, and other factors outside of our control.

This membership is designed to provide educational resources, classroom support, and professional development. It does not guarantee a specific classroom outcome, student result, evaluation result, income result, or professional result.

27. Educational Disclaimer

The Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership and all related materials are provided for educational and informational purposes only.

We are not providing legal, financial, medical, mental health, or other professional advice.

You are responsible for using your own professional judgment and following the rules, standards, laws, and policies that apply to your classroom, school, district, and state.

28. User Submissions

If you submit comments, testimonials, feedback, photos, videos, messages, or other content to us, you confirm that you have the right to share that content.

You grant The Southern Teach LLC permission to use feedback, reviews, or testimonials you voluntarily provide for business, marketing, or educational purposes, unless you clearly request otherwise in writing.

We will make reasonable efforts not to publicly share private, sensitive, or student-identifying information.

You should not submit confidential student information, private school information, or personally identifiable student information to us unless specifically requested and legally permitted.

29. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your membership access if you violate these terms, misuse the membership, share materials improperly, violate intellectual property rights, initiate improper access or downloading activity, or engage in conduct that harms the Company, other users, or the membership platform.

Termination due to a violation of these terms does not entitle you to a refund.

30. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Southern Teach LLC is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your purchase, subscription, access, or use of the Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership or related materials.

Our total liability for any claim related to the membership will not exceed the amount you paid for the membership during the three months immediately before the claim arose.

31. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Southern Teach LLC, its owner, employees, contractors, affiliates, and representatives from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your misuse of the membership, violation of these terms, infringement of intellectual property rights, unauthorized sharing, or unlawful conduct.

32. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, you agree to contact us first at [email protected] so we can attempt to resolve the issue in good faith.

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, both parties agree to make a reasonable attempt to resolve the matter through mediation or another form of alternative dispute resolution before filing a lawsuit, unless prohibited by law.

33. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any legal action related to these terms or the membership shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless otherwise required by law.

34. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Membership Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

The version of the terms in effect at the time of your purchase will generally apply to your purchase, unless changes are required by law or apply to ongoing access, billing, platform use, or continued membership participation.

35. Severability

If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining sections will continue in full force and effect.

36. Entire Agreement

These Membership Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any specific checkout terms shown at the time of purchase, make up the entire agreement between you and The Southern Teach LLC regarding your purchase, subscription, and access to the Smart and Simple Social Studies All-Access Membership.
